Join the #codehero chat channel on Freenode!

Hit the Chat button or T hotkey in-game or use a client like this page, Adium, Pidgin, XChat or mIRC.

Freenode IRC chat is the home of many online coder communities and learning to use it for Code Hero prepares newbs for the wider world of #unity3d, #javascript, #csharp, and other important channels for discussing code and asking questions (using proper Pastebin etiquette to paste URLs to any code you want to discuss).

IRC Channel Setup Instructions:

Mac Adium:

1. In Adium, go to Preferences / Accounts.
2. Click the '+' button in the bottom left.
3. Chose IRC (Internet Relay Chat)
4. Nickname: choose the same name as your Primer Labs user account name unless it is taken by someone else.
5. Hostname: clarke.freenode.net.
6. Leave Connect when Adium opens checked if you'd like to be in the IRC all the time.
7. Click OK to add the chat network.
8. File Menu / Join Group Chat...
9. #codehero
10. It will open like a chat with a contact would.
11. Right click or control click the #codehero channel tab.
12. Add Bookmark.
13. #codehero becomes a contact in your contact list so you can get back to it quickly.
